Ringing in the New Year with our eyes closed!

We rang in the new years with our eyes closed. Yes we fell asleep before we got to see the ball drop. First time in along time that has happened. We fixed a big supper for the 3 of us. Steak, chicken, potatoes, and salad. Then we went over to Sam and Ashley Hicks house for pick-ups and to hang out. We had a great time and Bricen loved playing with Wyatt in the playroom. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and he didn't hardly come out of the playroom. They have 5 kids and a huge playroom full of lots of good stuff. We put Bricen in his pjs and we left there around 9:30 with hopes Bricen would fall asleep on the way home. He did not he was wide eyed when we got home. It didn't take him long and he was asleep. Albert watched TV in the den and I watched the Clemson bowl game in the bedroom. Clemson lost in overtime to Auburn 23-20. Albert came to bed and it was about 11:52 the last time I looked at the clock. Next thing I know Bricen is crying and I looked at the clock and it was 1:28. So I got up turned the TV off and got him out of his bed and put him into ours. He was having a bad dream. He talked a good bit in his sleep last night. We all slept until 8:50. Albert laughed and said we need to go to bed tonight around 6 so we can get up tomorrow. We sure have enjoyed being home and getting to sleep late.
